Dermaflash- the ultimate glow giver

There are certain beauty devices I’ve come to love. During my last pregnancy my skin was the driest it had ever been. It also coincided with the pandemic, so it wasn’t possible to nip out and get a facial. I had to be a bit more resourceful and find another solution.

I came across something called dermaplaning. This is where dead skin and peach fuzz are scraped away using a scalpel, by a facialist or a dermatologist, to reveal brighter, smoother skin. Sounds a bit scary, but my skin was so dry, I was desperate to try it. But, with everywhere closed I’d hit it a dead end. That was until I stumbled across this remarkable little device. The DermaFlash Luxe+ Advanced Sonic Dermaplaning and Peach Fuzz Removal, in blush pink no less!

How to use the Dermaflash

The Dermaflash essentially enables you to achieve the effects of dermaplaning at home with relatively little fuss. It’s suitable for all skin types and complexions and is so easy to use. It comes with a preflash wash to remove oils and temporarily tighten the skin to make it easier to use. You then hold the device at a 45 degree angle, use your other hand to hold the skin taught and sweep across the area to be treated. You then follow with your usual skincare routine. I use mine at night, twice weekly and have only used it on my forehead as this has always been my problem area.

The Results

The glowing skin which is revealed by the Dermaflash is undeniable and it feels so nice! Products and make-up glide on and congestion is reduced. I used the preflash on my first couple of uses, but my usual cleanser works just as well. I also reuse the razor blade several times. I only replace it after every 3 or 4 uses, not every use as suggested, as this seems unnecessary to me. In terms of regrowth, it does happen, but it’s really not an issue and by the time you notice, it can be delt with instantly. It also has an exceptional battery and only needs to be charged once every month or so, at most.

Only one note of caution for using the Dermaflash. Don’t go too close to your eyebrows! They’ll be off in an instant. I had a close call the first time I used mine!

I’m now over three years into using my Dermaflash and I wouldn’t choose to be without it. If you have issues with dry skin or a flat complexion, this is the device for you. An all-round great investment in hassle free, glowing skin.
